Education Coordinator
£26,000 (pro rata + bonus) 
Part-Time (22.5 hours per week)
Fixed-term contract July-November 


Aesthetica Film Festival is a prestigious event dedicated to celebrating the art of cinema and fostering a love for film among diverse audiences. Our festival includes a range of activities, including screenings, workshops, panels and educational programmes aimed at students, educators and filmmakers.

The Education Coordinator will play a crucial role in booking, promoting and selling educational group visits. This position requires a dynamic individual who can effectively communicate the value of our educational offerings to schools, educational institutions and other partners. The coordinator will be responsible for driving sales, managing relationships, and ensuring the successful execution of educational initiatives. You will also work on the education outreach work with our UNESCO Expo.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to promote educational group bookings.
  • Identify and engage with schools, colleges, universities and other educational institutions to participate in the festival’s educational offerings.
  • Build and maintain relationships with educators, administrators and other key stakeholders.
  • Coordinate the scheduling and logistics of educational events, including workshops, panel discussions and special screenings.
  • Assist in the development of curriculum and educational materials in collaboration with the programming team.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and campaigns targeted at educational institutions.
  • Utilise various channels (email, social media, direct outreach) to increase awareness and drive participation in educational group visits.
  • Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries from educational partners promptly and professionally.
  • Provide on-site support during the festival, ensuring that educational events run smoothly.
  • Coordinate with volunteers and staff to facilitate the delivery of educational programs.


The ideal candidate

  • Proven experience in sales, outreach, or education coordination, preferably within the arts or film industry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Self-motivated, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Passion for film and education, with a commitment to promoting arts education.
  • Experience working in a film festival or similar cultural event.
  • Knowledge of the local education landscape and existing networks within schools and educational institutions.
  • Familiarity with marketing and promotional strategies in an educational context.
