The Fashion strand pushes past the possibilities of design, engaging with contemporary trends and initiating conversations about the presence of moving image with the everyday experience. Beyond tailoring, desire and commerce, these films question the notion of idealism.
Macarena lives between worlds in Sevilla during the early 2000’s, combining religious devotion with nightly raves. Intergracion reveals what it means to exist between cultures. Full of incoherence and contradiction, fashion film, Intergracion is an idealization of the life of an adolescent 15 year old that showcases the fashion brand Maria Magdalena, through it’s narrative.
Intergracion is screening as part of Fashion 2: Questioning Identity. For the full programme, click here.
