Meditating on the world around us, the multi-faceted films of our documentary selection take viewers behind closed doors. They archive human experiences beyond preconceived ideas and shed new light on life as we know it through a dynamic and empathetic lens.
Everybody Shut Up directed by George O’Reilly uncovers the importance of social interaction. Psychologist Gay Cooper and linguist Bencie Woll explain the implications of dwindling human communications and antisocial behaviour.
Everybody Shut Up is screened as part of Documentary 4: Begin Again. It will be shown on Wednesday 6 November at 1331 (21:30-23:00), Thursday 7 November at the Yorkshire Museum (10:30-12:00), Saturday 9 November at the NCEM (16:45-18:15) and Sunday 10 November at 1331 (20:00-21:30).
