Usurping the idea of convention, each reel from the Artists’ Film category provides an investigation into the world around us through keen observation and visceral interactions. Viewers are brought closer to intangible ideas, thoughts, memories and landscapes.
Horror Vacui, directed by Matteo Zamagni explores Earth’s untouched lands and humanity’s artificial settlements, using digital reconstructions to comment upon our increasingly urbanised and globalised existence.
Horror Vacui is screening as part of Artists’ Film 1: Night Fog. It will be shown in 1331 on Wednesday 6 November (16:45-18:00) and Saturday 9 November (20:15-21:30).
