Filmmaker Interviews: JoAnne Salmon

Chin Up is a family-friendly story about self-acceptance that follows animator JoAnne Salmon’s life story. From being 1 in 50,000 babies born with Treacher Collins Syndrome to living her dreams as an animator. In ASFF’s Filmmaker Interview, JoAnne Salmon describes the personal approach to her mixed-media documentary and her love for creating stories.

JoAnne Salmon’s short film screens at ASFF 2019 in our Official Selection as part of Family Friendly 2: The Strength Within. It will be shown on Saturday 9 November at York Theatre Royal Studio (10:00-11:00) and Sunday 10 November at York Theatre Royal Studio (15:00-16:00).
