Grab My Hand: A Letter to My Dad is a personal story of grief. Camrus Johnson and Pedro Piccinini’s animated short highlights small, seeming insignificant interactions, conversations and gestures – assessing who we look up to in the family unit.
Co-director Johnson discusses his inspiration with ASFF, detailing how his father’s relationship with a close friend provided the narrative for the film.
Grab My Hand: A Letter to My Dad screens as part of Animation 3: Helplessness and Despair, available On Demand from 3 November as part of ASFF’s digital edition.
