Nico Marzano is the Head of Cinema at the Institute of Contemporary Arts, London, and founder of Frames of Representation – an innovative documentary film festival which interrogates the ethics of filmmaking whilst expanding the parameters of art and activism. This session is a unique opportunity to hear from one of the UK’s leading institutions about what constitutes “ethical” cinema. Who, or what, gets programmed into the gallery space, and what do these works offer in terms of cultural terrains and new visual languages.
