In 2017, Rico Johnson-Sinclair launched CineQ, a film festival that, by its own mission statement, prioritises queer and trans Black people and people of colour. As well as working in programming and exhibition, Johnson-Sinclair consults with prestigious organisations on events that focus on inclusion and diversity, and is currently Race Equality Lead for the British Film Institute. In this eye-opening masterclass, Johnson-Sinclair establishes a space for us to consider who we are and how society positions us – exposing power structures, and the steps we can take to dismantle them.
