Kate Reid


Kate is an award-winning cinematographer working in television and film whose credits includes the first season of Amazon series Hanna, BBC One drama Press (on which she was series DP) Marcella (Netflix) and additional photography on HBO’s Game of Thrones. Other high-end television credits include award winning BBC One drama Call the Midwife, and Trust Me starring Jodie Whittaker. She is currently working with Joss Whedon on his new series The Nevers for HBO.

Her work has screened in competition at festivals such as Sundance, Berlin and SXSW. Her documentary credits include Ava DuVernay’s Venus Vs., the Emmy Award-winning TV series Years of Living Dangerously, and Karen Guthrie’s critically acclaimed The Closer We Get. Kate was recently named as one of 10 DPs in Definition Magazine’s ‘Ascending Stars of Cinematography’ list. She studied Cinematography at the UK’s National Film and Television School having previously worked as a camera assistant on feature films such as Batman Begins.
