BFI Network & Film Hub North Meet Market

BFI Network & Film Hub North Meet Market

The BFI Network & Film Hub North Meet Market is a key opportunity for writers and directors. Taking place at ASFF 2019, it brings together UK-based producers and some of the North’s brightest film making talent in a unique melting pot. Filmmakers and screenwriters can apply to be part of this year’s edition – allowing them to discuss upcoming projects with producers engaged with the BFI Network. With a focus on talent development, it is an arena for collaboration and taking ideas to the next level.

This is a must for short film writers and directors looking to connect with producers. Applicants must be based in the North, be aged over 18 and not in full time education. Submit: A brief bio, outlining your location; a paragraph on why you are looking for a producer; a logline and an attached, completed script of 15 minutes max. Email with applications. (150 words max.)

Deadline: Wednesday 23 October, with selected filmmakers notified on October 31. BFI Network won’t be able to offer feedback and will only contact the selected filmmakers.

The Meet Market takes place at 1331, York, on Thursday 7 November.
