The idea behind Luca Finotti’s #WeBelieveInThePowerOfLove is to bring together Ricardo Tisci and Nike’s worlds. Based on this, the video celebrates inclusion and social connections.
Finotti’s film won the Advertising category at ASFF 2017, presented on Sunday 12 November at the National Centre for Early Music. He notes: “It’s a special and a real honour to have won Best Advertising at Aesthetica Short Film Festival, not just for me, but for everyone who believed and worked in the WBIPOL project. A film is not just made by a director but by the whole team involved in it, and Nike gave me the possibility to work with some of the best Italian talent, an incredible casting of 45 worldwide unique heroes, and what made it even more special is the collaboration with the 10 online artists that took part of the virtual reality editing challenge. This film not only changed my career, but my personal view on life: I understood that all is possible and there is no better feeling of just do it and do it right. I hope this video can inspire a lot of talent around the world to follow their dreams and believe in themselves because this is the only way to change the world, and we can all do it, everyday.”
