There is one week to go until the end of call for entries for ASFF 2014, a fantastic opportunity for those fresh out of film school as well as a more established generation of filmmakers to showcase their works to new, international audiences. Films screened at the festival are also up for awards and cash prizes, as well as a selection of additional prizes including screening in film tours screened at other international film festivals; editorial coverage in Aesthetica Magazine, an international contemporary art publication, and more.
We highlight a comedy, which screened at ASFF 2013. In Robert Smith’s comedic short, REP 5091 (2013), we enter a world where a single phone call can banish troubles. A man makes a pact with one of the devil’s call centre salesmen working at the fiery gates of Hell.
Enter ASFF 2014 for a chance to have your work showcased in the Official Selection to diverse audiences, fellow filmmakers and industry professionals. For more information and to submit visit www.asff.co.uk.
