12 Days To Go: Aesthetica Short Film Festival Call for Entries – Thriller

The BAFTA Qualifying Aesthetica Short Film Festival (ASFF) 2015 deadline for submissions is fast approaching, with only 12 days left of the festival’s call for entries. We count down to the 31 May by highlighting a film from the Official Selection; today offering you the chance to watch the trailer for thriller The North Side by independent filmmaker Andrew Ryland.

The eight-minute short draws audiences into a tense sci-fi realm, where the last survivor of a deserted city must find a way out before he is hunted down and captured by the ruthless hunter who has been sent to find him. The film was screened in the thriller strand at ASFF 2014 alongside Status by Richard Williamson and The Birthday Gift by Max Myers.

ASFF 2015 will provide a unique platform for filmmakers at all levels in their career to showcase their talent to a wider audience. Confirmed guests so far include masterclass speakers from BAFTA, Channel 4, Association of Camera Operators (Harry Potter, Elizabeth), Framestore (Björk, Gravity, Guardians of the Galaxy) and more, highlighting great ways to interact with industry leaders.
