The preliminary programme for the 2015 Berlin Fashion Film Festival has been released. Opening 5 June, the festival returns to Berlin for the fourth year, celebrating innovation in the stylish moving image genre and providing networking space for production companies, creative agencies and film directors to connect with new fashion clients and brands.
With 734 submissions received this year, the event showcases the very best in international fashion filmmaking. Those selected demonstrate creativity, originality, careful execution and emotional engagement. As such the festival is set to present a well-rounded, high quality fashion film programme, illustrating upcoming visual marketing trends within the fashion, film and advertising industries.
The year’s selection explores why an increasing number of brands are investing in fashion film. Audiences can participate in a full day timetable of talks, panel discussions, case studies and Q&A sessions with industry professionals. Experts such as Charlotte La Salle from Nowness and Stephen Whelan, EP and Founder of White Lodge will discuss topics around the future of branded content to illustrate how fashion film is leading communication within the fashion, lifestyle and luxury industries, while giving advice on how to pioneer upcoming visual marketing trends.
BFFF closes with an Award Show, which recognises the finest creative talent within fashion film. The Jury members were chosen based on their experience and professional knowledge of the fashion, film, advertising and music industries. They will carefully select their favourite productions. Following the awards the evening will continue with an after show party, bringing together the 500 professionals attending BFFF.
