Industry Sessions Speakers 2018

Find out more about the ASFF Speakers who will join us from 7 - 11 November 2018 to share their expertise in the film, fashion, advertising and music industries. Their events will take on a range of formats including panels, industry sessions, drop-in meet-and-greets and informal Q&A sessions at Official Selection film screenings.


Alice Lowe

Actress and Writer

Alice Lowe is an actress and writer, known for her roles in dark comedies like Sightseers and Hot Fuzz. Working across TV and film, she has appeared in cult series such as Garth Marenghi’s Darkplace and Little Britain.

Bec Evans

Bec Evans is Head of Video Development at Dazed; she works across Dazed Media’s publications to direct, produce, programme and  commission in conjunction with editorial and commercial teams.

Chris Cook

Chris is a Lead Modeller at the multi-award winning creative studio and VFX specialist Framestore. Chris creates photoreal CG characters and environments for feature film; supporting the Director’s vision.

Chris Shepherd

Chris Shepherd is a multi-award-winning director, writer and producer. From his directorial debut for Channel 4 in 1997 with The Broken Jaw, Chris has worked on many renowned TV Shows and commercials.

Craig is Director of Creative Projects at the Beggars Group of Labels. He joined Beggars in 1995 and has worked with artists including Adele, Dizzee Rascal, Jack White, British Sea Power, Interpol, Daughter and The xx.

Daniel is a Creative Strategist at Somewhere Else. The London-based agency specialises in virtual reality, and helps clients tell powerful stories with immersive technologies. He is also a guest lecturer at CREA Genève.

Matt Greenhalgh began his film career with the release of Control in 2007. His following releases include Lenon biopic Nowhere Boy, as well as Film Stars Don’t Die in Liverpool. He is currently writing for Studiocanal.
