With the intention of creating a print fashion editorial, accompanied by a complimentary film, The Sleeping Field project evolved beyond recognition. Pairing up with That Jam, Anna Peftieva, alongside a team of creatives, steered the project away from its original intention. The crew worked hand in hand to accomplish the unimaginable, creating a cinematic eruption of industry standards. This project was a manifestation of a collective of friends. The Sleeping Field took away Best Fashion at ASFF 2017.
Peftieva notes: “It has been an incredible experience to be a part of such a fantastic festival. To be selected alone meant the world to us – and then to take home the win for best fashion film blew our minds. Working along side the powerhouse that is That Jam (directors) and the very awesome guys over Blindeye Films (producers)– truly brought this project to life – and we couldn’t be more proud and honoured to have had our film screened along side such strong contenders. With this project we really wanted to push the boundaries of traditional editorial film making. Telling an opening ended story – and approaching as though it were a feature film – no short cuts – compacted into a three-minute trailer. The Sleeping Field is the first film project created and produced by Moon Man Studios. We look forward to making more films, infused with style and madness – and we cannot wait to share them with you!”
