Tune into fresh innovations emerging from cultural institutions across the UK. ASFF 2016 welcomes an array of independently curated Showcase Screenings from guest institutions.
NAHEMI, The National Association of Higher Education in the Moving Image, presents a programme of some of the exciting, dynamic and diverse films made in the UK this year by students studying at our member Institutions.A selection of Drama, Documentary, Experimental and Animation work from colleges across the UK. The programme will be followed by a discussion and Q&A with the filmmakers, led by NTF Freya Billington.
Notable films from the screenings include a charming illustrative short, Dinosaurs in the Playground, that explores the mind of a six year old, Beauty of a Stateless Mind that features the artistic inhabitants of the Calais Jungle, and Present, an affecting short that brings to light the issues surrounding Alzheimer’s disease.
