Development Executive for Film and Television: Creative Scotland

Ross McKenzie is Development Executive for Film and Television at Creative Scotland, responsible for a programme of funding for emerging and established film and television talent, with a goal of promoting the creation of distinctive and engaging work. Creative Scotland is a public body funded by the Scottish Government and the National Lottery, dedicated to supporting the arts, screen and creative industries across Scotland.

Ross is a graduate of the MEGA (Masters in Audiovisual Management) programme at the Media Business School in Spain. He has been a producer on several feature films as well as the BAFTA-nominated short Rite. For Creative Scotland, he was recently production executive for A Life In Progress, Kevin Cameron’s portrait of the renowned Scottish writer and artist Alasdair Gray. His film industry CV also includes working for Capitol Films, Bard Entertainments, UK Film Council (and subsequently BFI), Paramount Worldwide Acquisitions Group, The Weinstein Company and Film London.
