ASFF 2016 takes place 3 – 6 November in York, and brings a programme of outstanding short films from around the world to audiences alongside a dynamic series of 25 industry masterclasses, plus networking sessions, guest screenings and panel discussions. The festival has a strong industry focus, and provides filmmakers with many opportunities to develop their knowledge and understanding of film, as well as explore best practice in directing, editing, cinematography, screen writing and much more.
The ASFF Highlights film provides a window onto the kinds of activities that take place during the four day event, including an Opening Night Party, networking events, Meet the Film Festivals and the closing night ceremony. The film is a great way to explore the energy of the festival, and hear from those whose work is at the heart of ASFF.
Currently open for entries, ASFF is looking for new filmmaking talent and wants to hear from all filmmakers, emerging or established. The prizes include screenings at BAFTA Qualifying ASFF, editorial coverage in Aesthetica Magazine, awards for Best of Category, People’s Choice and Best of Fest, plus much more.
