There are now only 21 days to go until the deadline for submissions for the BAFTA Qualifying Aesthetica Short Film Festival (ASFF) 2015. We are counting down to the 31 May by looking at films from last year’s Official Selection; today shining the spotlight on the People’s Choice Winner – The Wolf, The Ship and The Little Green Bag directed by Kathryn MacCorgarry Gray (Chaos).
This outstanding documentary follows the life events of three elderly women who recount their coming of age stories. Karin, Peggy and Anne, all of whom are between the age of seventy and ninety four who met ten years ago in a physiotherapy class, become close friends. As they reflect on their lives, and particularly their adolescent years, they decide on particular moments or events that resonate as being significant to them. One story from each woman is animated and explores how they became the women they are today.
ASFF 2015 provides a unique platform for filmmakers at all levels in their career to showcase their talent to a wider audience. Confirmed guests so far include masterclass speakers from Channel 4, The Association of Camera Operators (Harry Potter, Elizabeth), Framestore (Björk, Gravity, Guardians of the Galaxy) and more, presenting great ways to interact with industry leaders.
Entries close 31 May. To enter and for more information, visit www.asff.co.uk/submit
